Slip or Jump
During the summer before his senior year at Columbia University, Sam Steele, stoned out his mind, nearly jumps to his death off a desert cliff. He did not jump. But he did shatter.
Following this near-death experience, more chaos ensues. Family troubles, a break-up, an illicit affair, rock stardom, and eventually, a nomadic trip across country all propel him on a memorable journey toward an Appalachian cliff, where he must once again, and for a final time, choose between what his life will or will not be.

Dustin Brewer was raised in northwestern Indiana, where he began recording stories before he could write (his ever-encouraging mother did the writing for the long-winded 4-year old). He grew much, mentally and emotionally, while attaining his Bachelor’s degree at Purdue University and has traveled throughout North America in an effort to understand the wonderful diversity of people, trees, birds, rocks, wildflowers, and feelings there. He plans to explore and study the same in the rest of the world, when not learning and teaching at the university level, so as to know the stories he hopes to tell before penning them.
